  1. Sounds good! This is my first go around with dropping a motor in, I hope all goes well. I'm a little frustrated already and that's sad. I went to start bolting the alternator and power steering back on and the RHS heads don't accept the same size hardware as the original heads did. Off to do some research I guess!
  2. Yeah Angelo was great to work with! He held true to his quote and I got exactly what I was looking for as far as performance. I wonder what kind of HP you'll pick up back East? My Uncle has a 03 Mach 1 and I could not believe the stones that thing had at sea level and that's only 305 horse. You're gonna enjoy that 357! I dont remember alot about the internals of mine but I have RHS heads like you a Edelbrock intake, flat cam and a Holley 650 carb. Have you dropped your motor in yet?
  3. cavboy78 I just had Geddes Racing do a 347 for me with similar results. Is that where you had yours built? FYI I'm from Upstate myself, I'm currently living in Colorado City South of Pueblo.
  4. I'm afraid I'd be more hindrance than help with your current portion of the project. I've never doing any welding or sheet metal work! If you need a grunt at some point give me a shout!
  5. Good Luck with your new project neighbor (I'm down in Colorado City), I can't wait to see your progress.

    My 347!!

That's no joke! Half the things I've done to get it ready to drive I'm already looking to upgrade down the road. It is NEVER ending!

    My 347!!

I'll for sure be opting for a 5 spd down the road but its not in the budget right now. The car was a 3 spd and when I started putting some money into it last Summer I got a sweet deal on the toploader that I couldnt pass up. The engine was the biggest priority followed by the getting the brakes up to par with the horsepower increase. Actually the brakes were the biggest priority! The car is a work in progress but I have it very close to being able to drive and enjoy and tweak along the way.

    My 347!!

Thanks powershift, this one looks good for my Daily/Track intentions. Kevlar/Organic 10" disc, diaphragm pressure plate, 10 spline, throw-out bearing and pilot bearing

    My 347!!

It looks like I need a 10" with the 4 spd. Is there anything else I need to know when ordering? I saw mention of the flywheel tooth count, is that relevant for anything?

    My 347!!

So after 7 painful months of waiting for my engine builder to complete my stroker here she is. Not a great photo but a least some evidence that its done. I'm going to the shop next week when he dyno's it. I can't wait for the results! Hoping for 450 hp!! Sorry guys, I'm technologically challenged!!!! Hopefully now! I cant wait till my kids ( son 1yr and daughter 4yrs) get older to help their old man with this stuff! http://s1251.photobucket.com/albums/hh544/Pyetime1/347/?action=view&current=get-attachment.jpg
  13. That's what I was thinking but I wanted some feedback from some friends. Thanks!
  14. I'm looking at running a new firewall to headlight harness and have a quick question. Is this the same harness that runs to the starter solenoid and the voltage regulator? It only mentions to the headlights! Any ideas on a better unit than this? http://www.cjponyparts.com/HEADLIGHT-WIRING-HARNESS-from-Firewall-1969/p/WHL6A/
  15. The power booster is the next project. I think I got the template off this site for the new holes. Any words of advice before I put new holes in the firewall?
  16. Mission accomplished (power brake pedal)! Its not much fun but with a little patience it's not that bad a job.
  17. 5'10" 185! You've inspired me to keep my seat in! :thumbup1:
  18. Yeah, I'm claustrophobic just thinking about it! I'm for sure going to take the driver side seat out before attempting to work in those tight quarters.
  19. Great, good to know, thanks! It looks like a fun job! I went with this kit http://www.jegs.com/i/Wilwood/950/140-11071/10002/-1. It was really to install, looks great and works with my Magnum 500's.
  20. So I finally made a decision and went with a nice Wilwood front kit set up and I have rebuilt my rear drums for now (budget's getting a little tight with what I told the misses it would cost). Rear discs to follow down the road. I also have decided to upgrade to power assist, so I have the booster with pedal headed this way. Question, can I mount the power pedal to the current bracket or do I need an entirely new one to mount to the firewall?
  21. My bad, calipers to the front! The Wilwood rep was very helpful and we got it figured out in short time.
  22. I called the Wilwood help desk but I must have got them after hours. I left a message, so I hope to hear from them tomorrow.
  23. I am in the process of putting Wilwood front discs on but I have run into an issue. The issue is that the adapter (caliper mount) that goes on to the drum spindle will not sit flat to the spindle. I cant imagine having to notch the spindle or do any type of work on the adapter....I am at a loss. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any thought.
