Also, the wrong starter nose will rub the flywheel. Automatics vs manual are different depths. Hope you find it soon.

Could the starter be staying engaged in the flywheel?

Thanks Mikestang, but I just bought a spindle locally. I was going to buy it just for the spindle and sell the rest. Hope Desert can use it. Thanks

I know ford made them. I had a set in the early 90's that were taken from a f100 truck. They really woke up my J-code 302.

Kinda Basic but, make sure the PCV valve is operating correctly on one valve cover and an oil breather on the other side. PCV needs manifold vaccum. I wonder if the oil slinger was re-installed on the crankshaft or if it has anything to do with it? Can't think of anything else. Others will chime in soon.

With that said, I should be able to measure from the other side + there is still scars on the trunk divider where it was attacthed, will help place it. Thanks. Still confused, Is the floor panel and trunk floor the same? I may have something missing in this area. Any other idears?

On my 70 Mach that bracket is what i attached the floor panel to. I have the fold down seat optionThanks rc4mike, did it seem to be stratigally placed or just stabilizing the rear seat somehow? My fixed seat did not have anything on it that touches that bracket, I'm assuming yours don't either. Thanks

I need help with this bracket that mounts the seat divider to the trunk floor. I had to remove this bracket to install a new trunk floor on the right side. I have misplaced the measurements I wrote down. Does this bracket simply mount the trunk divider or does it hold something for the rear seat? I can't tell if this bracket mounts anything besides the trunk divider. My car is a 69 Mach 1 without the fold down seat. Anybody with measurements from the other bracket or relating area would be extremely appreciative, Thanks fellow VMFer's.:confused1:

With my hooker 6210, 351C in a 68 coupe had instructions to use 3/4 spacers in between the motor mount and the engine block. May look into that if you are still having fitment issues.
