You have the car. Measure the dimensions you want. The whole point in making it yourself is so that it is custom for you and your car.

I just might have to paint mine that color. I have a coupe but that blue looks nice!

Well it seems that most don't like anything off the wall and like to stick to something for original. I am stuck in the middle and don't know wich way to go. I like the green and then again I'd be just as happy with a blue car and white stripes.

Haha! I've been living in a bedrom for several years as well that my wife painted purple.

what do you all think of this color. I'm considering a lime green on my 69 coupe with black supersnake stripes http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.wunderground.com/data/wximagenew/m/McChase/14.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.wunderground.com/blog/Jay0Byrd/comment.html%3Fentrynum%3D21%26tstamp%3D200804&usg=__FzHF8-ZqwIoGnzDUuP0sNqgZxv8=&h=450&w=600&sz=75&hl=en&start=120&zoom=1&tbnid=BUrt4SAbm9FSYM:&tbnh=101&tbnw=135&prev=/images%3Fq%3D69%2Bmustang%2Bcoupe%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26biw%3D1600%26bih%3D719%26tbs%3Disch:10%2C2417&um=1&itbs=1&biw=1600&bih=719

How much power can stock 351c handle
69shelbycoupe replied to 69shelbycoupe's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
thanks for all the info. I was just curious because I had read that it would handle that much power but I didn't believe it. I think 550 would be more realistic for absolute stock bottom end. -

yllwfstbck, how about the stock rods and pistons? You think they are capable of the 700 mark along with the stock crank and block? -

about how much power can the stock 351c rotating assembley and block handle before something breaks? I've read upwards of 700hp but that seems a little high to me. Just wanted to see other peoples opinions or facts about this.

some things you get a week later some things take months to get. I'm going on 3 1/2 months

Almost every time I make an order something is on backorder. The last thing I ordered was a pertronix lll coil back in May and it is still on backorder. I will always be a customer of them though. Good service and part selection.

That's right. Build what you want or you won't be happy and you'll end up building it later anyway. I love that yellow 69 in last months modified mustang with that stroker cammer in it!
-
To be honest, no I haven't. It is still up in the air but I am leaning towards one color with stripes. I still have no idea what color I want. I've been trying to decide on a color for almost a year and still can't make up my mind. Like I said before, I might just have to pick one out of a hat. haha! The car is at the body shop now. I have a couple months still to make a decision.
-
cool. good info. I wish I could afford to build a stroker cammer engine. That would be awesome to have under the hood.

I know the heads make it a cammer but I didn't see anything for the cammer setup on their website. Just regular 427 motor stuff.
