  1. Does anyone have a picture of the correct bracket that is needed to mount the throttle cble in the correct location?I have mine hooked up and working I just dont get all the pedal.I have a cleveland bracket that I have cut the square 9/16 slot for the 69 type cable.Any picture you may have of your original would be helpfull.
  2. No they are really never done.I have added a few more things so here are a few more pictures.I can't tell you how many times I would have family over for birthdays etc. they would take a look and shake thier heads and say there is no way I am ever going to get it back together.I have had every nut and bolt off of this car and they saw all of the original rust.Well now they just cant'nt belive it's the same car.I have a few "extras" that only those really into Mustangs would ever pick up on.I have map pockets on the rear of my seat backs I also have a radio noise supressor mounted to my cowl Electric trunk release, seat belt light,Boss shock towers just a bunch of little things that most will never even notice.I just got the stripes on Saturday they are black reflective and they really light up in the sun as you can see.One of the pictures shows the car with the seam sealer in the wheelwell. The underside of the car is also body color with 3 coats of clear.
  3. My mufflers are SS but the rest of the pipes are the alum/steel.I have no doubt that this system will last for years as the car will mainly be driven on the weekends only 3000 miles a year at the very most.I guess all the matters is that I feel like I got a deal and my whole exaust system installed and welded up not clamped together.
  4. I just paid $300 for a shop to put 2 1/2" exaust on my car and they even used magnaflow mufflers and ran it from the headers to the rear valance. It looks supersweet and it sounds great. It took them about 2.5 hrs to make the whole system.I would say that I got the dal of the day for sure.
  5. I got the magnaflow exaust installed and it looks and sounds great.I did get to make a few short trips around town with open headers.Just a few more lose ends on the inside and it's done.
  6. and now the full sun picture.Sorry it took 3 posts
  7. Here are some more pictures.I built this to be different. You will see many red Mustangs and I just wanted to be different that's why I went with silver jade and I am so happy that I did.In the direct sun it kinda looks silver and in the shade it looks dark green. The scoop tells you that I wanted to be different.Find a part of your car that has the original color still on it like behind the fender on the outer firewall/cowl area and see what you think.I was sold on the color after I saw it there.
  8. The color is the original color for my car and it's Silver Jade 69 paint code 4
  9. And the DMV gave me this temp tag. This is a total random pick they just open a drawer and pull out a temp tag no order to it at all.Man I am so pumped
  10. I have tons of pictures but you can see where I started(except all the rust and rot).I think the end result was worth the wait.
  11. I started the teardown way back 13 years ago and for the last year have been busting my balls but I can see the light.
  12. Again very good eye I didnt think anyone would notice those small details:huh:.The steel heater hose that I have on my engine came out of a 77 Ford with a 400.They are factory tubes that I thought would really clean up my engine bay. These tubes have a mounting bracket attached that mounts to a valve cover bolt and they stay in place. My motor is a 351C so they fit real nice with a 302 or a 351W the valve cover mounting holes are in a different location so they dont fit as nice but the will work.
  13. I have had many different seatbelts over the years that I have restored. The 70 71 have no retractors in the rear. The front for a 70 71 would have a soft plastic retractor cover for the front and the 72 73 would have the hard plastic front retractor cover and have a wire for the seat belt light.the rears for 70 71 are just like the rears for 68 69 cars.I hope this helps
  14. Have the rotor point to #1 on the cap after you find TDC on #1 as you drop it in and that will be close.
  15. Thats the same one I got and it works great. Here is a better picture with the fan installed. The fan is a push or pull fan
  16. IMO Those HEI ProCrap dizzys are not worth the box they are shipped in.You can get them on ebay for about $50 that should tell you something.
  17. I only spent about 250 and I have a very nice setup.I got one of these fans and a 16" fan kit off of ebay also an it all looks, fits, and works great. Here is a picture of the radiator installed.I dont have a picture of the fan installed but could get one if needed but it fill up the whole radiator and there is no need for the fan shroud.
  18. The duraspark box wire diagram is on Mustang Steves website.
  19. BTW why do you want to get rid of the Duraspark?
  20. In that case I think I would make some kind of bracket and mount it on your upper power steering bolt(the one with the spacer)like between the spacer and the pump maybe.
  21. I would use the Ford Duraspark Dizzy before I used any HEI setup. The Duraspark looks like the point dizzys with just two extra wires.I mounted the control module for the Duraspark on the drivers front fender apron and it works great and its easy to install.
  22. I found a better picture of the coil mount that I used.
  23. This is the only picture of it that I have right now.I mounted mine to the front of the drivers head.I will get a better picture tomorrow.
  24. .54 to ship+paypal fees and ebay listing fees=almost 2.00
