RPM 1,190 Report post Posted August 8, 2014 Hey guys, my parking brake assembley has been off my car so long and my memory is so bad I need some more info. Without the cable and brakes hooked up, will the brake pedal return to the off position when the release knob is pulled? Mine will not return. Are there not springs in the housing which return the pedal? My (sometimes false) memory says the pedal should return when the lever is pulled. So basically, I got nothing. I have no idea if pics will help, but I included some. The first pic is with the parking brake not applied. The brake pedal is fully applied. With the release lever pulled.
