LouB 10 Report post Posted November 26, 2011 Hello - I need to replace the washer bottle pump motor. The existing one seems stuck, and will not pry out. Is this washer pump motor glued in ? Any tips on how to remove it ? Lou
LindenBruce 27 Report post Posted November 26, 2011 There is a retaining ring around the inside of the channel the motor goes into. It has fingers that point outward locking the motor in place. Your motor should have come with a new ring. Just cut the old one with a pair of diagonals and the pump should pull out. Bruce
rockhouse66 22 Report post Posted November 26, 2011 There is also an o-ring seal around the pump body, and even after you remove that retaining ring it may be "stuck". Squirt some WD40 or something in there and keep wiggling at it.
