LindenBruce 27 Report post Posted March 20, 2011 Does the engine turn over when hot? Or does it turn and just won't fire? You could have your timing off possibly to far advanced. Bruce
wfridolfson 10 Report post Posted March 20, 2011 it turns over but very slowly, tried moving distributor little at a time but still the same until it cools down, then turns over normally
LindenBruce 27 Report post Posted March 20, 2011 Its possible you do have a bum starter. Check all of your connections and make sure your grounds are clean and tight. Have you done a load test on your battery? Bruce
Burn 14 Report post Posted March 20, 2011 My new engine had this same issue. Check your timing, too far advanced timing will make the engine turn over slow when hot.
