hawkdriver 14 Report post Posted January 18, 2011 I'm in the process of getting headline quotes and wanted to see what everyone thought was a fair price. I live in the Philadelphia area if that matter. Also could someone give me an idea of how hard it really is to do yourself. And is taking out windows even an option for a one man job? rangerdoc 22 Report post Posted January 18, 2011 I'm probably going to show my arse with this reply, but I paid $500. Given, that included installing sound deadener to the roof and sail panels as well as all the associated ceiling trim/light pieces and the install of the rear glass. I know it is something you can do yourself, I just didn't want to mess with it. I did the rest of the interior myself.
hawkdriver 14 Report post Posted January 18, 2011 Well, hey if its any consolation im getting quoted more than that. Im in the same boat i do not want to do it myself but at the prices im being quoted im willing to give it a shot. Anyone have a good installer near Philadelphia id be willing to hear. Dro69 11 Report post Posted January 18, 2011 I got a estimate of $300 if they dont have to remove the rear window and $350 if they have to remove it.
rangerdoc 22 Report post Posted January 18, 2011 Call around to some different upholstory/interior shops. You could also check with any of the local mustang clubs or other restoration type shops. Most of the extra cost of mine was because of the sound deadener material and the minor labor for it. I was quoted $300 without that extra stuff, just like Dro.
