Location of Fuel Tank Sending Unit Wire Tag/Decal

This is the Fuel Tank Sending Unit Wire Tag/Decal for the 1969 Mustang. Does anyone know exactly where along the wire in the trunk this tag is typically situated? I know it sounds nitpicky, but just trying to keep things as accurate as possible.

I appreciate your desire to do it right. I went out and looked at my virgin donor car and did not see any remnants of a tag. I checked inside the trunk and under the car. Sorry.

Awesome info. Apologize for reviving this back. I know im late about this but the same thing had took place on my mustang (second hand). The thing is that I've noticed that every time i go fill up my tank, i have to fill it up at a very slow pace, otherwise the nozzle stops pumping. would it be the fuel tank or the sending unit?
