torque value for rag joint ( manual steering )

Recommended Posts

Hi, i recently rebuild my rag joint, but it appears that i didnt adjust it correctly because last sunday i was parking the car and suddenly my steering wheel got crazy ... which means a loose screw in the rag joint. I check the engine bay and yes, the rag joint was turning without turning the shaft of the steering box.

I checked my service manual but didnt find the torque values for the mustang, only for the lincoln continental.

here is the manual page for the lincoln.

anyone knows at what torque value should I adjust? i was thinking in using the same values as the lincoln

thnx
