Stanger69 16 Report post Posted January 20, 2010 I just recently mounted 18x9.5 with 295's on the rear. Had to hammer part of the inner fender alittle not much though. I am working on lower the car, fronts are 18x8 with 245's.
Boogerschnot 12 Report post Posted January 20, 2010 I was running some 235 55 17's on an 8 inch rim. it was about 27.7 inches tall I think.. find a tire size calculator and it will tell you. I liked the tall tire on the rear, but it was too skinny. So i went with 255 45's Its noticibly shorter but also wider.. so I see more of the tire in the well, where as the 235 was almost tucked into the q.p check out my car domain for pics of the 235's just do a search for otaiko7 or justin's mustang. Jurisd 10 Report post Posted January 20, 2010 I'm running 28" diameter tires on the rear - size is 275/60R15 on 8" rims, but the diameter is 28. I had to add several inches to the rear height, plus had to roll the fenders. But, I' pretty sure that was because the rims I chose had 5.25" backspace. I think if I had stuck with backspace in the 4.5" range, they would have tucked under and I would not have needed to roll the fenders. Good luck!
