very fat and very dumb 40 Report post Posted December 24, 2009 Today I am installing a cougar rear end in my project 69 convertible. I believe the holes in the leaf spring "Perches" on the rear end are larger diameter than the Mustang. Do I have to do anything to compensate for this? I read old posts and there were discussions about a rubber spacer that goes in between the leaf and rear end. I don't recall my Mach 1 having anything between them. Thanks
S code 69 13 Report post Posted December 24, 2009 You're fine just bolt it up. the cougar did have blocks and pads but the mustang didn't. the tie bolt hole is the same, it's always a lose fit.
