stock 70 mach1 rear sway bar size ?

The stock rear bar on a 1970 Mach 1 is 1/2". I replaced mine with a 7/8" bar (and front with a 1 1/8" bar).

 

When I ordered the larger rear bar they mistakenly sent me the wrong one. Since I had already removed the rear bar I ended up driving the car around for about two weeks with no rear bar. I was surprised at how differently the car handled without any bar at all even if it was small.
