elcristobal 10 Report post Posted August 13, 2009 I just received my new clutch pedal from modern driveline, and i went out to try and install it but could not take off the old one. I dont know if this is a difficult change or not but im having trouble with it if anyone has any pictures or info on this i would greatly appreciate it. ForceFed70 14 Report post Posted August 14, 2009 Once you have the snap right off, it should just slide out. I'm curious tho.. why are you replacing the pedal? I don't think i've ever heard of one breaking or wearing out.
Rad69 10 Report post Posted August 14, 2009 I had to take the whole pedal assembly out along with the steering column in order to slide out the pedal. It wasn't too hard but you have to stand on your head for a while. If you're going to do it the way I did, be aware of the hidden bolt in the top of the pedal bracket. I could only get it out by feel and a ratcheting box wrench. Good luck!
elcristobal 10 Report post Posted August 15, 2009 The previous owner had cut off the original pedal near the top of the assembly(why? i have no clue) so i had to change it out. But i already managed to change it out. Thanks
SELLERSRODSHOP 13 Report post Posted August 15, 2009 what are you planning to do with the old piece you removed? i might be interested if the spring bracket is still there.
