Difference between a 69 headlight switch and a 70 headlight switch

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know what the difference between the headlight switch is for a 69 versus 70. CJ Pony sells them both but the 60 costs almost $50, but the 70 costs around $26. From their pictures, they look the same with same contacts, just different plating for a 70. Thanks.

69's had a four headlight system while 70's were only two, so the connections are different.

incorrect, the connections are identical. you can use a 70 switch in a 69 or vice-versa. the only difference is as i stated earlier the 70 switch allows the parking lights to come on with the headlights and the 69 switch doesn't it only allows the parking lights in the park position, or the middle position, when the headlights are on the parking lights go out and only come on when the turn signals are used.
