foothilltom 33 Report post Posted October 5, 2008 Howdy gents, I managed to snap the little god-forsaken bleeder valve right off today (as opposed to gently tapping it) in a project that started out as bleeding the brakes. My question is: how would one go about fixing this little problem? Should I try to drill out the offending screw, and tap in a new hole, or is there some easier way? I'm really hoping there is. My Chilton manual is very sketchy on how to remove the drums themselves...I figured I'd have a better shot at a solution with them off the car, but I can't seem to make that go either. In short, opinions on how to progress with a broken bleeder valve. Thanks! 4-wheel drums. Tom
SELLERSRODSHOP 13 Report post Posted October 5, 2008 if worse comes to worse, just replace the wheel cylinder with a reman unit. it would probably be easier to work on the bleeder valve by removing the wheel cylinder anyway. is it front or rear?
