Juice It 10 Report post Posted September 10, 2008 Hi Guys, My car did not come with a trunk courtesy light and I found one online and it only has one male plug to connect and I see one female empty plug in the driver side wheelwell but it did not come with any switch to let it know the trunk is opened. 69RavenConv 286 Report post Posted September 10, 2008 The trunk light has a mercury switch incorporated into it. It should switch on when the lid is raised. The one wire is the hot (12V) line, the ground is provided by the mounting hardware. Make sure you've got it mounted correctly (right side up?) and you've got good ground.
