SCPU 10 Report post Posted August 20, 2008 I have four sets of 351c heads all 2v and was going to rebuild the two best ones. So can I do this,...take one good head from one block and another from a different block and combined them on one engine. Will this work? one set is from a 71' and the other is a from a 70' block
wantahertzdonut 10 Report post Posted August 20, 2008 I'm no expert, but I would suggest running the casting numbers to see what they were for, because you may have issues with compression ratio if nothing else. Wait for more expert opinions however, I know relatively little about stock heads.
dans70mach1 11 Report post Posted August 20, 2008 I think all the open chamber heads were the same. you should be fine. I believe all valves were the same size also, just take two of each and you can double check them side by side, head to head
