Boogerschnot 12 Report post Posted January 25, 2008 The wife gave me the go-ahead for rear suspension and some weatherstriping to keep the rain out of the car... So how big of a difference is 4.5 over 4 leaf stock stock springs?? I will have the family in the car at times and dont want the rear to rub,, so will 4 leaf stock give me that freedom? I was going to go with 4.5 reverse eye, but thats $189 for just springs at dallas mustang, or $149 for the entire 4 leaf kit.. My problem is Im a cheapo.. I do like a little rake, so I dont know if I really want the mid eye.. Someone help me out please.. Whats the best deal out there..
coz 108 Report post Posted January 25, 2008 I replaced my standard eye 4 leaf with standard eye 4.5 to add some stiffness and stop bottoming out but keep the original stance. Added KYB's and could not be happier. No real difference in height at all and really is much more stable in the rear.
Boogerschnot 12 Report post Posted January 25, 2008 Thank you! That really does help.. I think I will go with the 4.5 standard and if I ever decide to lower it I will just buy the lowering kit..
