Flasher bracket ?

On the metal dash there is a clamp like bracket attached around the wiper switch area but on the bottom of the dash that hold a round flasher thing...

 

So my question is can anybody tell me where the bracket actually attaches to the dash? Looking and I have 2 possible locations but would prefer to narrow it done to just the one.

 

Pictures would be great if anybody has/can take some.

I am currently refinishing my dash and I believe that bracket is still attached. I will take a photo of it tonight.
