railblazer82 10 Report post Posted May 4, 2007 I bought a couple rimblow wheels, But none of them are marked as a 69. They say 71. is there any differance between them other than the date code??? I know they definatly look the same. I dont want to spend the money to get it restored if it wont work. I am really not worried about it being date coded, so if thats the only differance----SCORE!!!!!! Adam
69grandecj 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2007 The '70 and later rimblows are different. I'm not sure which is which but one is more oval than the other.
indianfiremach 170 Report post Posted May 4, 2007 The 70-73 wheels have two thinner spokes and one wider one, and use a different center pad.
bnickel 10,004 Report post Posted May 4, 2007 i think there is also a difference in the horn contacts on the backside of the wheel as well, but either will still work.
