dchandler60 10 Report post Posted April 22, 2007 Can someone please tell me how to remove the 69 factory P/S pump pulley?? I have read threads and cannot come up with it. It has a torx type screw in front, and I have tried both ways to remove with no luck. Is this pulley pressed on??? If so why the torx looking screw? Also how do you delete a previous post?? Thanks David
9R03F 10 Report post Posted April 22, 2007 That's the end of the shaft you see not a "torx screw". Yes they are pressed on. You'll need a p/s pulley puller and an instal tool to get it off & on.

9R03F 10 Report post Posted April 23, 2007 WAIT!! It requires a special p/s pump pulley puller. I hope you understood that. If you try and use any other type puller you will ruin your pulley.
dchandler60 10 Report post Posted April 23, 2007 I looked it up and plan to buy the right one. Thanks for the ALERT!!
Cupid 10 Report post Posted April 23, 2007 May I suggest you use the "borrow/buy" tool program at your local auto parts store such as Autozone, Advance Auto, or Kragen? It's simple. You just buy to puller, use it, and take it back for a full refund. That way you are not stuck with a pulley puller that you'll use maybe 2 or 3 times.
