unrealmach1 10 Report post Posted January 10, 2007 Anyone change a 69 hood pin setup to a 70 twist lock? Can you just install the twist lock and go or what does it take?

ForceFed70 14 Report post Posted January 10, 2007 I've never had a chance to take a good look at the twist lock style hood locks/pins. Is there any chance of them vibrating loose on their own? And is there a way to lock them to help prevent theft?
buening 63 Report post Posted January 11, 2007 One of the differences in a 69 and 70 hood is the underside where the hood twist lock holes go. The underside of the hood has larger openings compared to the 69 hoods because the twist locks required larger diameter holes. So, as far as i know you'd have to drill a larger hole on the underside support of the hood as well as a large hole in the top surface of the hood. I've never had one vibrate loose.
