Black Jade

Recommended Posts

My grande is originally black jade, but can no longer tell exept some parts under the trunk lid. I thought about painting a it a different color, but since there are not too many out there I think I will keep it original with the black jade.

Thanks for your help all

My Marti report for my Mach states that my car was one of 17,051 with the Black Jade ,Ford #3197-A paint code ,Ford produced 299,824 Mustang's in '69 ,so I guess that's a small number of Black Jades ,other than the internet I've never seen one besides mine in person ,actually there aren't many Mach1's , or 69/70's Mustang's in my area either.

According to Kevin Marti's book "By the Numbers" Black Jade was, surprisingly, the third most produced color in '69 with 29,763. Candyapple Red with 38,271 and Silver Jade with 30,230 were more popular. Black Jade production by bodystyle is as follows: Coupe - 11,444, SportsRoof - 17,051, Convertible - 1,268. It appears 2,244 Black Jade Grandes make up a portion of the 11,444.
