pile_53574 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2006 I was trying to replace the 90* zerks that the Previous Owner must have put in, with the ones from NPD. The two piece ones that are supposed to replace them. The back one went in, but trying to get the old one out of the front it will not fit between that big nut and the tower wall. It is actually hitting the wall now. Question is do I need to remove the UCA, then put these zerks in, then reinstall UCA? Also should that big nut be loose or tight? bnickel 10,004 Report post Posted August 18, 2006 yes you need to remove the control arm. you might also have to slightly dent the tower for clearance to the zerk, i did. are asking if the big nut on the control arm shaft should be tight? if so yes it should be, if it's loose it's most likely because either it and the shaft needs replacing or the control arm needs to be replace along with the shaft (and the nut) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
