Good looking car for a project. Good luck with the build. Building was part of the fun for me, of course that wasn't Always fun...haha.
Good luck!

Thanks guys.
70mustang, I hope you can make it next year. I hope to have mine there again, and hopefully with AC this time. Man it does get hot there in the summer :) , but I like being one of the few older ones.

I am running a 17X8 on the front of my 69 with a 1 inch spacer and the 245/45 with no issues. Rear is fine with that size or larger on that rim. Running the 18X10 with a 305 on the rear of mine, but did roll fenders and inner as well to make some extra room

YES. Look forward to seeing some PICS

First off, jsut wanted to say thanks to everyone on the site. Without knowing me, I have gotten alot of great info from the site to assist me with working on my S code 69. I have had the car for about 4 years now and spent some time re-working it for the road. I was messing around with making my first video of the project and just thought i would just share it here.

I am running the 18X10 Bullit wheels that have a 6.3" back spacing. They are VERY close to the leaf spring and I had to massage the front inner fender for it to fit properly, but other than that and rolling the fender lip, no other mods. Running a 305/35/18 Nitto.

My S code Auto Mach has a tach.

Do you have a link to your ebay ad?

Nice looking car. GLWS.

You are right. I have seen a lot of variations of the color as well, and even the first coat that got put on my car looked like crap. We changed brnad to PPG and got a new mix and it turned out great. IF you decide to go that route, let me know I will get the paint codes and mix combo for you. Good luck

I considered similar things as well. Went with the stock Acapulco Blue, Blacked out Hood, cowl, and tail panel and had the stripes painted on instead of the decal.

Take a look at Custom Autosound. They have some that will fit stock location and mounting with all digital tuning and controls and it sounds great. They even make a iPod Connector as well. I put this in my car just recently and really like the set up.

For a mild 302 2.5 in tubing should be fine. The sound is usually a preference deal, but I personally like the magna flow set up. Nice sound and not overly loud for riding around as well. My brother put them on his 68 with a fairly stick 302 and it sounds really good. Good luck with the project

I posted a bit more info on this thread. Thought I would share

Hope that helps some. I found that the 18X9 was a bit too big for the front. I chose the same style for the rear and did a 17X8 and fit MUCH better with no rubbing even with lowering the car

Looks good. Great color. I am ready for Spring as well....

what rear spring and front susp mods did you do to fit those monster wheels, the stance is perfect, and what backspacing are they.thansk javedThanks for the compliments.
Pretty basic actually. It is a mid eye spring with 2 in lowering blocks. When I first put the mid eye on, it rasied the car slightly, with the old spring sagging so bad. I am running a 305x35x18 DR, and there is about 1/2in clearence to the leaf spring. I did have to massage the inner fender well, in front of the axle a bit in order to not get any rubbing, but no cutting required. While the car is in the body shop as well, I am having the fender lips rolled just to have a bit more clearence as well. It is a standard wheel backspacing on a deep dish rear wheel, for 94-04, which I believe is 6.38 on this particular wheel.
The front is using 620lb 1.5 in drop coils, but with the big block, it dropped a little more and honestly I am not 100% sure they were 620lbers. These as well are 17x8's for 94-04 with I think a 5.72 backspacing, but I am using a 1 in spacer for the front. Hope that helps.
Thanks
Scott

I am running 18X10 out back with no spacer (had to massage the inner fender slightly) and 17X8 up front with a 1 in spacer. These are wheels that fit 94-04 mustangs.
-
Yes. I had the 18X9 but it was too wide when I lowered the car so I went down to the 17X8 up front, and now there is plenty of room from the control arm. I did the suspension kit from Laurel mountain with 1 in drop coil, which I think it dropped a little more with the big block. Mid eye rear springs with 2 in lowering blocks. I am running 245/45 up from and 305/35 out back.

I am running 18X10 out back and 17X8 up front. the 18X9 was a bit too big up front so I went down in size. They are for the 94-04 years and I am running a 1 in spacer on the front.

Yeah I'm having the same problem, I'm not sure if the mid-eye springs will actually raise my car because the leafs on it are so sagged. That was what happened with mine. With mid eye rears, it actaully raised the rear by about a 1/2 inch. It wasnt much, but the old ones were sagging pretty bad.

If they are the Bullitts off the newer stangs, the 18X9 will be a bit too wide for up front, I was running that and had to drop to an 8in wide rim 17X8 and still run a 1" spacer for it to work properly as well. not sure on the rear, as I am running an 18X10 on the rear
Good luck
