Looks like the ashtray light/shifter light combo.

I've heard rumors that Ford may do something in Dearborn but haven't heard anything official. I'd love to go to Charlotte but I hesitate to drive the '69 500 miles through the mountains each way. Dearborn would be a much easier trip.Shoot, I'm driving mine almost 900 miles each way from NH. A 500 mile drive through the mountains?, seems like a time! ASAIK there will be nothing formal in Michigan, the official parties are in Charlotte & Vegas.

Can these be installed without removing the pillar trim? Will they work okay with the factory pillar trim? Thanks Rick.

Thank you for the tutorial on resizing of the pictures. No rear wing for me either. I do not like them at all. In my view they make the car look to much like a toy.
Looking good. I'm a no wing no slats guy myself, these cars need a front spoiler however.

The front is height adjustable coil-over (Ron Morris). The rear is Global West 1 1/4" lowering 5 leafs with a 1" block. Wheel specs:
Front 17X8 245/45 4.5"BS
Rear 17X9 275/40 5.5"BS

Your car is flawless Buck, I hope that doesn't mean you won't be flogging it occasionally!

As long as you go with a common size coil over with a 2-1/2" diameter spring, several companies (AFCO, QA1, Eibach, Bilstein and others) make quality springs in a wide variety of rates. For example on front set ups with a 12" length spring which mounts to the lower arm as most have, Ron Morris uses 350# for small blocks, other companies use 450#. But you can get the springs in 25# increments to pick whichever fits you and your set up. Even though SoT offers three spring rates, you are not limited to those. There are several sites that have spring rate calculators to get your set up close. Rear suspensions have the same variations in spring rates depending on the company. But it all boils down to your preference on the comfort you want, and the type of driving you do. Good luck.Bob
Real good point Bob. I bought my RM kit back in 2007 and it actually came with QA1 12-400 springs. I have never weighed my car but using the charts on the Ride-Tech site I was able to make a guesstimate that the front of my car probably weighs in around 1900 lbs. I then went to the AFCO site and using their calculator I'm in the ball park with the 400's. The chart recommends 375's but seeing that my front end weight is a bit of a guess I decided to leave them be. I'm just cruising this old girl all over hell's creation and the ride is firm but forgiving.

I'm using the Ron Morris Tubular Coil-Over Front Suspension and it is a HUGE improvement over stock and am very pleased with it. If I were shopping for a coil-over conversion I would want a kit that moves the coil to the lower control arm. I really like the Street or Track coil-over kit and would be my choice for my next project.

Great find, the car looks fantastic!

That's the original color of my car! Looks like a great original survivor, congrats!

I like the idea of black seats for obvious reasons (dirt). The interior of your car will still have tons of white, along with the white exterior.

The Maverick master was a 74. Spring for the adjustable length rod and eliminate any trouble with using the wrong length rod. I sourced the stuff for the swap from Dan Chock @ Chockostang. He is an expert with vintage Ford braking systems. The toughest part was swapping the pedal, something you won't have to worry about. Give him a call, he's a good guy.

I LOVE the feel of my manual disc brakes. Not having the booster in the engine compartment is also very sweet. My setup is factory front manual disc with the maverick master. My car was a power setup and I'm having ZERO regrets.

Often times that damage occurs when the hood flies up. Looks like a great project, keep posting the progress!!

I have never seen a real Boss 302 with a turn signal hood scoop (notice the oval cut outs). An impressive cache of barn find cars none the less.

I have one for sale if you're looking for one.

The car is stunning, you have much to be proud of there!

I have the Terminator and highly recommend it. The ability to fine tune it with a laptop sets it far apart from the competition in the aftermarket TBI EFI world.

any other options out there?I was considering this VITALONI TURBO they look badd ash
No offense but I think these cars would look RIDICULOUS with those mirrors.

What do you want the car to be? We need some background on how you will be using the car before we can help you blow the 7K!

Yes to everything. Looks great!

Most if not all racks bolt in place of the original cross member I believe. I love the simplicity and road feel of the TCP manual rack. I never have to worry about it leaking, guaranteed!! It's high effort in parking lots but going down the road it is delightful.

The factory discs weren't that bad IMO. The factory power steering however....+1
There is nothing wrong with the factory discs for a street car, perhaps if you had planned on autocrossing it an upgrade would be in order. Myself, I couldn't wait to ditch the sloppy power steering!
