  1. forcefed70 ... i am interested in your EDIS swap... sent you a pm. great ride.. love all the items you have done not in the norm when you go to a mustang show!! lots of tasteful mods in my opinion...:thumbup1:

I'm curious as to what everyone did to their car's over the winter, and how it turned out.

I took it easy this winter, but did do the following:

    - EDIS8 swap

    - Swapped to a power steering pump from an 86 F150

    - Electronic trunk opener/latch from a 80's fullsize

    - New grill and heater/radio bezel

    - Custom progressive throttle linkage

    - Buncha little stuff not worth mentioning

  2. Pak ... it would be interesting for the market... have the "templates" ever turned up ... anybody have drawings of them etc... i have a few shelby books but only a bit of info on them. and it seems to be the same info on the net.:whistling:

We actually had one member who comes and goes that was working on one, he had health issues though and I don't know how it turned out. I also recall that I mentioning somewhere at some time in an unrelated thread that I thought the sail panels would be a nice untapped aftermarket fiberglass part to make for coupe owners who coveted the sportsroof look but couldn't afford one.

Do a search for "Shelby + Mexic*" and you should turn up some stuff as we have also reffered to it as Mexican Shelby in the past and not the correct title.

  4. that'sa lot of tire.... post some pics of the rear when you have a chance.. ah cool 1" high.. i think it looks great! i wouldn't mind purchasing one.. who did you buy it from...?

Yea the hood is a boss 429 style but the scoop in only 1" high. I thought about the shelby lid but its kinda expensive for a piece im not too sure about. i like it but it seems too big for a rake like this.

  6. angel... wow... that looks great ... i was thinking of going with shelby end caps and trunk lid.. but i dont know how it would flow with this stance .. this looks mean, sleek and ready to rock!! man i gotta stop listening to sirius hair nation ... im stuck in the mid 80's with my comments.. lol .. time to move back to pandora for a bit.. sorry off topic...

i would love to pull this stance off ... maybe with the same ride height in the back without the front rake the shelby rear would look good... boss 429 hood scoop ... nice.. 10 out of 10 no doubt .. great ride... !!!

what vendor Boss 429 scoop is installed? i would remove my factory hood scoop for that look. almost looks like the scoop is shaved a bit and not as high as others i have seen.

sorry for the questions, just excited about this ride...! :punk:

    ok. this is really it

  8. flight96 ... looking good!! im interested to see what response comes back on the moisture question.. my motor is sitting in a bag until it goes into the 69... the builder put a good amount of assembly lube when building and we plan on priming the motor and turning it over by hand before it cranks the first time.

congrats on all of your progress!!

  10. 69gmachine... thanks.. i think ill take it to a radiator shop and have it cleaned and tested before it goes in. been sitting for a while, so i want to make sure it can still hold pressure and nothing is living in it...:tongue_smilie:

You should give your 3 row 24" a try before replacing it. I'm using this same radiator on my 408 and it runs very cool all the time, even idling in traffic on a hot summer day. I may replace it for an aluminum one some day, but only for the weight savings. It couldn't possibly run any cooler.

  12. This is a picture looking up at the lower control arm bolt. The black bolt on the right is the one that goes into the frame. Not a very good shot, but it's all I have.

interesting, i have all of the pro-motorsports kits installed on my car. this would seem to tie in very well with the eccentric eliminator kit.

hope to have my car on the road soon, i may pick one of these up before the motor goes in. thanks for the post:tongue_smilie:

nice spreadsheet.... plug my numbers in when you have a moment...:tongue_smilie: i ended up with a early viper trans with the .50 6th and 3.77 gears. long story .. i sent my 9" 31 spline center to moser for a daytona pinion support and 3.73 gears ... they didnt have any 3.73 in stock at the time and made me a deal on some 3.77 that someone backed out on ... so it worked out. sent my stock axles to them also to measure for the new 31 spline axles... no guessing if i measured it out the correct way.

according to compcams dynomation software with my stroked 408W, AFD 2V canted valve heads and 304HR cam, single plane intake, Cam RPM range is 3000 to 6500 with peak torque @ 5000 rpm and peak HP @ 6500.

wheels are 16x8 with soon to be 245. 45. 16 on all 4 corners...

    Viper T56

    1st Gear 2.66:1 2nd Gear 1.78:1 3rd Gear 1.30:1 4th Gear 1.00:1 5th Gear 0.74:1 6th Gear 0.50:1

i hope to have my 69 on the road by the end of this month... april 09.... :punk:
