  1. That was just the driver side right? I've looked at both sides and the passenger side looks like it'll clear with no problem. I'm glad to see you got the 3/4" port to fit with a couple tubes worked over. My Trick Flow heads were top notch back in 2003 but I want to sell them this this winter while the car is down and go with the Edelbrock Victor 77219 which is raised 1/2" on the exhaust
  2. That's all I need to see then. I'll upgrade the heads and "tweak" the tubes as I need to
  3. Actually it's not the collector I'm having trouble with, it's one of the tubes that rest up against the bellhousing. I have some thickness there that I think I can grind out if I go up 1/2-3/4". I think this is going to be not so bad
  4. BuckeyeDemon, what head are you using and how high is the port raised? I don't know how to follow your build to see the pics but I assume you had to notch the collector to miss the transmission?
  5. The collector comes very close to the bellhousing and that's where the problem lies. I always thought the problem would be contact with the shock towers but I think they could go up 1/2-3/4" with lots of room. Note, where the tubes snake around beneath, around the steering box, that's another question. I'm hoping someone comes in to this question and says they run High Port heads with a 3/4" raised port and ground down the bellhousing and it all fits. That's what I hope happens
  6. Derrrrr....I should have mentioned the motor has a 351W block with a 9.5" deck height
  7. I bought a pair of ported Trick Flow Track Heat heads back in the early 2000's and at the time they did and still do make great power, but technology has advanced a lot since then and the reason I got the heads is because I was afraid of clearance problems with a raised exhaust port and my Hooker Super Comp long tubes. How high has anyone gone with raised exhaust ports with stock shock towers and long tube headers without hitting the transmission or steering box, or shock tower or anything else? I've got manual steering so I don't have all that power steering stuff in the way
