  1. I can't help you with the scoops but will tell you that I am a FIRM believer in doing to YOUR car whatever YOU want to do with it.

To me, that is the beauty of this hobby; you can pursue it to whatever degree that you like. I am building an "F" coded 69 Mach 1 but am installing a 428SCJ motor with shaker, 31" rear, slats, spoilers, Dakota Digital gauges, Vintage Air Conditioner and a number of other mods I want, simply because it is MY car and I can do whatever I like with it.

Do a little photo chopping and find what YOU like.

    AMEN :punk:

  2. Even on a vert out of box fit needs a little sanding if you want a nice tight fit to the body so shouldn't be an issue. When I first saw this thread I thought you were going to add stock '69 fastback scoops to the car which I think would look good, not sure about these though, I think a photoshop first would be a good idea.

Oh yeah the fit is usually terrible which im aware of, being fiberglass tho its pretty easy to fit, ive worked on a lot of shelbys and made the scoops fit perfect which they never were that great.

Just a thought about the scoops, I personally think it will look pretty good.

I had a scoop from a 2003 cobra which wouldn't work but I taped in place and I think it looked pretty good.

Think im going to go for it, but while im making the fit nice and tight I will also fiberglass a wider lip so I can use 3m double sided tape to hold them on just like the new mustangs use.

Then I can take them off if I don't like them.

  3. Thinking about adding side scoops on my 70 fastback.

I know this wont be to everyones taste but im doing a resto mod and the sheetmetal is about 70% new so its far from original.

Curious if the 70 Shelby vert scoops would fit a fastback.

Don't really care to much for the upper scoops that Shelby used on the fastback, I want to do lower scoops.

I could fab a pair out of metal but ive got to work on other areas so id rather just buy some right now.

Are the quarters the same profile on the verts?...at least the section where the lower scoop would go.

So a single turbo set up? Digging this build! More pictures.

    Yes just a single 76mm.

Was thinking about twins just for the cool factor but the single setup im going with will put a big enough smile on my smile I think.

I did the same thing to my 1992 notch I used to own.

    That was a 351W that came out of a 1999 saleen s-351 car with a 6 speed.

Heres some pics of that build.
