My daughters help too. I am making sure they are heart breakers and life takers!

Oh, and what do people think about the road warrior paint job? LOL

Well, this should drive purists nuts! Getting them symmetric is tricky, but they should get the heat out when they are done (vents behind to come).

I worked on a Ford line for a (very) short period of time in the late 60's. Basically, the roof was on a line that came down from above as the car was traveling down the line. The roof was placed so as to align with the A and C pillars. It was then spot welded at the top of the windshield, and in the drip rails. the seams for the front and rear joints were offset and then filled with a filler that was trowelled into the joint. It was then smoothed down and sanded. I don't think it was not truly lead, but may have been a lead based composite with something else.Very interesting. Well, I will leave as much as I can. Cutting the rail off in small sections, then welding the sheet metal together avoiding heat distortions. So far so good. Thanks!

These are photos of the front coil over suspension and rack being welded in. This will have disk brakes and 2in. drop spindles. This is a kit I found online on a budget. So far everything with it looks good. Shock tower plates are covering the deleted shock towers. So far I am unhappy with these. My goal here is to fabricate beauty covers for the engine bay. I am not yet sure how that will happen. I am still researching options.Did you delete the "antidive?"

So, I am shaving my drip rails (they are totally rusted anyway) and ran into some Lead at the roof/A pillar joint. Is this factory? Should I leave it?
Thanks,

Beautiful work! Looking sweet.

Love the twin turbos. How are you going to control the boost? Mbc or ebc?Starting with MBC. I am limiting the boost to 10PSI per channel (20PSI total) for now until I learn more.
-
looking good!! that's almost what my project started out as.... except mine was a 90's 302 with T-bird turbos ..... cant wait to see your progress!!I have a lot to learn, but I am going to take it slow. What size were your turbos?

Engine in!

would love to see more pics of the header fab and turbo setup... pic looks great!hear it is.

Very nice stance. About where I want mine.

Finally rolling.

Thanks! Need to do my 69, and that looked nice on your project.
-
Very nice! What undercoating did you use?
-
Since I cut out the shock towers, plenty o' room!
-
Well, the welding is ok. :) I will take some close-ups.
-
Nice! Love the color!

I have been trying to save the original steel as much as possible too. Just means a lot of fab work, and welding. Then you get to choose the gauge of the metal you use. Looks like you are starting where I did. Nice project, Good luck ! :)

Thanks Bob!. Lots of welding on the frame. Going with a mild 6 point roll cage, mostly for looks. I plan to show it off, and maybe take it to the track once I get some of the parts upgraded. Just concentrating on getting it on the road, and starting with a good foundation. I may have overdone the displacement to 427 (408 may have been better), but it is just cool! :)
