  1. I worked on a Ford line for a (very) short period of time in the late 60's. Basically, the roof was on a line that came down from above as the car was traveling down the line. The roof was placed so as to align with the A and C pillars. It was then spot welded at the top of the windshield, and in the drip rails. the seams for the front and rear joints were offset and then filled with a filler that was trowelled into the joint. It was then smoothed down and sanded. I don't think it was not truly lead, but may have been a lead based composite with something else.

Very interesting. Well, I will leave as much as I can. Cutting the rail off in small sections, then welding the sheet metal together avoiding heat distortions. So far so good. Thanks!

  2. These are photos of the front coil over suspension and rack being welded in. This will have disk brakes and 2in. drop spindles. This is a kit I found online on a budget. So far everything with it looks good. Shock tower plates are covering the deleted shock towers. So far I am unhappy with these. My goal here is to fabricate beauty covers for the engine bay. I am not yet sure how that will happen. I am still researching options.

    Did you delete the "antidive?"

  3. Thanks Bob!. Lots of welding on the frame. Going with a mild 6 point roll cage, mostly for looks. I plan to show it off, and maybe take it to the track once I get some of the parts upgraded. Just concentrating on getting it on the road, and starting with a good foundation. I may have overdone the displacement to 427 (408 may have been better), but it is just cool! :)
