'69 Mach 1 Quarter Post Ornaments

I went with some 3M Super Strength Molding Tape (03615) to hold the ornament and it did the trick. Thanks for the help. Pak, I make it to many of the local shows in NH - maybe I'll see you around. -
One of the mounting posts for my driver's side running horse quarter post ornament was partially removed with a grinder at the body shop - not good. What's left of the mounting post (seen at the bottom of the photo) isn't enough to hold the ornament on securely. I tried J-B Weld epoxying a washer to what's left of the post to provide a makeshift stud but this wouldn't hold. Short of welding a new post (and potentially damaging the new paint) does anyone have any ideas on fixing this? Any help would be appreciated - thanks.
