  1. Where the Transmission crossmember mounts to the underbody of my 69 there are 2 sets of holes on the drivers side ( upper & lower ). On the passangers side only one. I just put a 351w with an FMX transmission in the car and when going to bolt up the trans crossmember I saw the option and didnt know which ones to use. The trans that came out of the car was a c4 and the cross member was bolted through the bottom holes - the one I'm trying to install will bolt up to either hole ( upper & lower ) I'm just not sure which ones to use and why is there an option......
  2. Thanks for the info please keep me posted with some pics as the headers are my next challange.
  3. For anyone else struggling with motor mounts in your 69 mustang: Ron Morris adjustable mounts seem to be the solution. Originally my 69 was an Inline 6 that I'm converting to a 351w. I purchased the correct V8 frame mounts and the correct engine mounts and tried to install..........not happening..... What I also found was that there are lots of other folks trying the same swap as me and with no luck at all using the so called SHORT style motor mounts and TALL style either. All roads eventually end up leading to Ron Morris Adjustable. It all seemed so simple, buy the correct parts, install engine, all good, but not in this case - the repro stuff just doesnt line up right. I just cant imagine why there are so many people having issues and now I'm one of them. Why when you purchase the correct parts for your enine and correct year car it still doesnt work? - Well all I can say is I'm glad I found the Ron Morris adjustables to make this swap a whole lot easier! One last thing - they are not cheap, but thats fine with me. The time you will save is well worth the cost of the mounts. Lastly before trying to install my engine my motor compartment was freshly painted with NO scratches!! after several attempts with the repro garbage mounts I have a bit of touch ups to do. Best O luck
