  1. Hey Mark, Congrats on the purchase. I was watching that on BAT.

I recently switched my car from a 4spd to a T5 with the Modern Driveline hydraulic conversion and it required zero cutting of the floor.  You can buy everything needed from MDL, one thing of note is the clutch master bulkhead needed some radius done to make it sit flush on the firewall.  Also sometimes Summit has 10% off you can get the T5z from them or another option is Dale at Schwartz performance is almost always willing to cut a deal.

  2. Whats your intended use and budget? When I was looking I wanted sport feel, comfortable ride, and wider tires.  I didn't want race car stuff I.E. Johnny Joints, solid type mounts and 4k worth of adjustable shocks.

I went with Detroit Speed, it's a bit more labor intensive on the install but sill doable for a novice.

  3. Hey guys I finally got my car moving under it’s own power and now it’s gotta few miles on it I need to address some interior issues.

I order carpet from Summit, ACC brand and it’s horrendous, almost see through thin, can cut with a dull razor blade.

Im thinking I wanna go ahead and order a better one, I also need some interior screws, door lock knobs, sound/heat insulation of some sort and maybe replace the dash pad. Also need some rubber bumpers for under the hood.

Who makes the best Reproduction stuff?

    thanks

I went with a stock style with mild upgrades and could not be happier.  Talk to John at OpenTracker.

I did roller spring perches, roller idler arm, lowered upper control arms and put 620# springs in front and mid-eye leafs in rear.  It drives better than when it was new. I keep stock appearance, get better performance, and saved a lot of money.  I also did a CSRP Disc brake upgrade on my original spindles.

I recently seen John’s stuff at the NorCal Shelby track event. Check his site!

  6. SW's 69 was sold to Europe I believe, so don't sweat looking like his.

My advice is do your home work on the wheel company's build times and what they tend to promise.

Lots of stories on PT.com & Lat-g on some of these wheel company's taking months to deliver when the promised weeks.

Theirs only three company's I know of that deliver on what the promise. Forgeline, Formula 43 & CCW wheels. If you like Fikse the Formula 43's have a similar look. DSE uses them exclusively now.

  7. Hey guys, my car is a 69 sports roof with manual steering, brakes (4 wheel drum) and factory 4spd.

I've been collecting parts from a C5 (vette) to do a 4 wheel disk brake swap, so far I have calipers front (Baer GT) & rear (OE C5), rotors f&r, parking brake assembly, adjustable proportioning valve.

Kore3.com sells the brackets to mount these to a Ford spindle and 8/9 inch rear.

Im debating on upgrading to a power brake vs manual I've searched through pages and pages of whats needed to make this swap, I just have a few questions I was I was hoping you guys can help me with.

*Can I just swap my brake pedal for a power pedal?

*Would the booster have to be OE 69 stang?

    *Are they reproduced?

    Thanks Jeff

  9. Can you give some more detail on your suspension & wheels?

Are you still running leafs on the rear?

Whats done up front other than the Shelby mod & cut springs? Are you running stock upper and lower control arms?

Whats the custom stuff you mentioned that were done to the wheels? I've never seen 18x9's up front without large spacers.

    What brakes are you running?

    Car looks bad a**

    Jeff
