Early 69 Racing Mirrors/general info on early 69s

I bought a couple of racing mirrors from ebay as mine are a bit tired and these ones looked in better condition.

 

Turns out they are part C9ZZ-17696-C which is the early style and the base is too short. They also both have remotes on them? I thought just one side had remotes?

 

So it got me thinking about other parts that were specifically for early 69's, is there many more? My friend had a problem with an early parking brake cable recently which didn't fit. Is there much demand for these early parts for concours resto's?

 

Just curious as I'd never heard of this until a week ago.
