stangracr 10 Report post Posted March 22, 2012 Just looked at a 69 Mach 1 and had a couple questions. I've been around Mustangs for a long time but was curious about a couple things. This car has a very early vin number. On the back side of the tail light panel the ford part number was stenciled in white paint probably about a 18'' long number. Also found the same thing on the back side of the front valance. This car was a drag car very early in its life. Car still has tow tabs bolted just under the frt bumpers. Anyone ever seen the part numbers stenciled on the back of these parts. They look like they are original parts. Car was white with red interior. Came out of Maryland. Car was painted maroon sometime in its life but not recent. Also noted the rear fender lips were rolled for slicks. ed
Burn 14 Report post Posted March 22, 2012 I've seen NOS parts with the part numbers stenciled with white paint on them. I've seen them with black paint too.
manley 13 Report post Posted April 1, 2012 I've seen the part numbers stenciled on as well. My car was missing the dual exhaust valance and the non-cutout replacement valance the PO used does not have the part code.
manley 13 Report post Posted April 3, 2012 I noticed my fenders have the part code stenciled on, too.
Fordrevhead 29 Report post Posted April 3, 2012 Yes if you get a clean car. My 64.5 has it on both fenders and the rear tailight panel. The tailight panel is in yellow on red oxide. I dont recall the fender stencil coloring.
