parking brake is stuck and no release handle

just bought a 69 mustang, and engaged the parking brake, then realized too late that there is no release handle! How do I get the parking brake to release or disengage now?

There is a piece of linkage that the parking brake hooks up to which you can pull on to release.

 

Is the lever still there and just missing the handle? If so .. most auto part stores carry a replacement handle.

Yes just like 69stang said there's a small hook that you have to actually pull towards you its on top of the parking brake but make sure you hold the pedal with one foot while you pull the hook because that thing will snap and could break you hand no joke its a powerful son of a bitch

LOL yea same thing happened to my car and well lets just say that I was fine but my dad wasnt so much
