LH remote sport mirror screw hole measurement

Hello,

 

I'm installing a LH remote sport mirror, and would like to get the mounting screw holes in the correct factory placement.

 

Can anyone tell me the distance between the driver's front door edge, and the front screw hole on a 69 sport mirror mount ?

My Dynacorn door has holes in it for the mirror and from the front edge measuring along the top crease it looks like the center line for the hole is 2 9/16". I measured my original rusted out under the hinges with a sport mirror still on it, it looks like the center line for the hole is 2 3/4". I'm going with the Dynacorn when the time comes. You didn't say what door you have but if it has a hole somewhere between 2 1/2" - 2 3/4" use it. You'll also have to cut a hole to pass the cable through if you don't have one. The Dynacorn does.
