sj9ers 10 Report post Posted April 11, 2009 I'm swapping a roller 302 with a late model bell housing and t5 into my mustang. I'm using the yoke that came with the t5 and was wondering if i have to shorten the drive shaft? If so by how much? If it matters I originally had a c6 in the car and a 9 inch rear end. Thanks

dennyb68 11 Report post Posted April 11, 2009 The only way to know how much is to measure it and see put the yoke in the trans a pull it out 1" then measure the distance from the center of the bearing cup to the rearend yoke.
