jgstang 21 Report post Posted November 15, 2008 :helpsmilie:i've been trying to figure out how to install a tri power on my 69 convert 351W with a shaker and make everything fit so my hood will close! have a problem though, because the convert motors sit alittle higher than fb/coupes. in order for this to work for me i need an aftermarket dist msd/mallory or ? need one that is shorter than stock! on my 351W now with the orig dist, the pad on the block where the dist sits to the top of the dist-cap is 6 3/4 not including the wires! in case your wondering why don't i have the room like i should... is because in order to have the tri power on a 351W a spacer adaptor plate is needed and also a adaptor is needed for the dist witch raises it 2 1/2" than normal only because the TP manifold is only made for 289-302 motors.so if i can find a new dist/cap combo thats as short as possible i can make this work with the shaker... thanks for your help on this........Jim Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
