69gmachine 15 Report post Posted August 2, 2008 Beware of the 69 Tach alternator wire harness made by Alloy Metal Products. There was a batch made with the Field and Stator wires crossed in the rubber molded end. I bought mine from National Parts Depot, although I'm sure there are many other vendors who carry their products. Make sure someone rings it out before you have it sent mail order, and then double check it after it arrives. The orange "field" excitation wire should terminate next to the main power out terminal, not off at the bottom by itself.
