BuckeyeBOSS 10 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 So I had to take the window out of my driver side door to fix the push button on my 1969 Stang door handle. I put everything back together and for some reason, the window sounds like popcorn when I move it up and down. From the VERY little I can see inside the door, it looks like maybe a circular spring is making the noise when the scissor arms move. Any ideas on a fix? Is there a circular spring there? Thanks. SELLERSRODSHOP 13 Report post Posted May 18, 2008 yes, thats your tensioner spring that assists in raising the window. get a can of white spray litium lube & spray the spring, pivot points on the regulator, & the guides. they get dry & make all kinds of creaking noises. just don't get the litium grease on any of the beltline felts, as that will cause binding. always use pure silicone spray to lubricate those.
