Hello,

 

Just picked up a pair of long tube headers for a 289-302, previous owner believes they are Blackjacks, so this brings me to my question...

 

Any way I can determine what brand of headers they actually are?

 

Anybody using or used Blackjacks? Thoughts on them?

 

I have power steering so do I need a power steering lowering bracket?

What exactly does this bracket do? Where is it mounter?

Most headers are not marked. Some companies use to have their name stamped on a tab then welded to the header.

The power steering bracket drops the P/S piston about two inches so the headers can ride above it. They are on Ebay for apx 16.99. It replaces the factory bracket on the frame rail.
