redmustangboy 10 Report post Posted January 2, 2007 Sounds nice. I am putting in the 4.6 DOHC in mine but I did not try to use mach 1 scoop. I am using the cobra intake and a blanked off boss 429 scoop. I am using a custom wiring harness from the detail Zone and a fuel cell through Reenmachine. I had to use the Rod & Custom front suspension package and drop my tranny mount to fit the AOD. How eo I hook up the automatic? The crank is the cast one from a continental the same as for an automatic Mach. Hope to be on the shows circuit around Indy this spring and summer. By the way this is not a cheap option. 4MuscleMachines 1 Report post Posted January 3, 2007 I have a 70 shaker hood Boss and I took off the oem shaker and put in the 03/04 Mach shaker. They are pretty identical in size so your stock shaker hood will work with it. You can also cut a hole in a standard hood using shaker hole templates found on eBay and elsewhere. 69fastback393 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2007 i guess my biggest question would be the shaker position on the 4.6 vs the hood of a 69.it just looks likes the shaker on the new mach sits alot more forward and also higher.does anyone have pics of this swap?
