rear ride too high?

TIME has come! i have completed the task of all new suspention and drum to disc converstion! all great fit! but.... the old rear leaf springs were shot and after instaling scott drake replacement rear springs the car sits a good 6 inches above 14" tires n wheels' wife LOVES the look BUT im not so shur i feel that the rear shakles have been replaced b4 i got the car /1969 fastback it came with a 3 speed and small block 8 inch rear. ive installed a 302 4 speed w 11"clutch and had rear end rebuilt. if some one could tell me correct length of rear shackles that would be great. ty from Tucson Arizona

on rear shackles from bolt to bolt center is Just under 3 1/2 inches long. wow nothing like adding yer own answers! any now ty to me! lol':hang:
