general maintence question

hey all im currently in the process of trying to make the coupe more road worthy i.e. doing all the basic generall stuff so i know whats been done and so on and im getting ready to replace the belts and hoses

 

one of my questions pertains to the heater hoses , i know that they run inside the car all the way behind the glove box my question is should these hoses be replaced with something specail or will just good parts store hoses work? what is the best way to replace these? do i have to drop the heater box out ?

 

next topic power steering hoses how big of a bear are these to change? i appear to have a leak someplace and the hoses look to be the culprit i wish the hoses ran up into the engine bay like they did on my 72 mach one but as you know they dont has anyone came out with better then stock hoses? like steel braided direct bolt ins? im not too kean on them running under the car but oh well as allways all your help is mucho appreaciated
