Sorry to hear that. Im only half hour away but never been there. Would love to go when you bring your car and check it out.I think they're having another track day there in July or August. No BBQ with that one though. Will let you know! Would be cool to meet up.

That was a really great price. No wonder it sold so fast!

fighting over a dead body??? are they planning on burying him or parting him out???Hilarious! (although is stinks to hear about the whole situation in general)

I would be so afraid to drive that thing at this point, it's like a museum piece! Looking great.

Man I'm jealous. Where do you find buddies like you have?!? I could sure use some help getting stuff done on the Z build! :-)
Let's see some pics!

It was something so stupid! I used a vampire wire clip to splice one of the wires from the ignition circuit to trigger my Duraspark II, the ONLY wire I didn't solder! Over the past few years I guess the heat was too much and it melted/corroded the splice and that's what failed (so the car just cut out).
Easy fix, but ruined the day nonetheless!

Well, I actually didn't make it down. The Mustang broke down on me about 20 min into the trip...
I ended up figuring out what was wrong while waiting for the tow truck, but the track is 3 hrs away and I won't make it in time now :-(

NASA NE is holding an event this weekend. Big BBQ and benifit for Wounded Warriors as well. Looking forward to watching some racing (since my car's still in a million pieces), lol - i'll have the stang, come down if you're close!

Any issues with the TCP rack and your headers? Thought I read somewhere the R&P's only worked with Tri-Y headers or stock manifolds because of the steering joint angles and whatnot.

Hey All,
New JSWORKS.ORG Post - Ain't No Mountain High Enough
This week I’d like to take a break from the Z build to introduce Jerod - a local prosthetic technician, mountain climber, and all around nice guy. Who despite the loss of both legs AND being a diabetic, climbs the highest mountains… literally!
(Sorry, I couldn’t resist the Velveeta on that one.)
I had the privilege of filming Jerod a while back for the documentary, and even went climbing through the mountains of the Delaware Water Gap with him. Truly an amazing experience, and something I’ll never forget. Hope you enjoy!

How did you do adjusting the windows? Most say it's a real PITA! Have any suggestions?
It's one of the things I've never gotten around to. My car howls from wind noise on the highway and now the PS rear has gone so far out of adjustment it rattles against the front glass. Drives me nuts!

but... i have all but decided to go all out pro-touring on the 69coupebuild so ... we shall see....:crying:You just decided this?? You put a 6 speed in it years ago! Lol

Do it! Love the new Boss!

Congrats on the successful return! Good luck with the car!

I saw a show recently where they discussed how to do it with the factory glass. Basically you use shims to set your glass height, then bring your sheetmetal in to a gap of around a 1/4" - then this flush mount rubber gasket can be bought that fills the gap and holds the glass.
I wish I could remember what show it was, but it was interesting to see how they do it.

Thanks guys, will inspect and see what I can find this weekend.

The Stang Came out of Hibernation this weekend and after about a 20 min cruise i decided to romp on it a bit. Got to the top of third, went to shift, and the throttle stuck wide open! Had to quickly shut the car off and slam the pedal a few times to unstick it.
Scared the crap out of me! Is there some way i can lube the throttle cable? Or is this unserviceable and i need to get a new one?

Sorry to hear about the header troubles! Were they supposed to be made for your application?

Hey All,
New JSWORKS.ORG Build Post - They Say Bad Luck Comes in Threes...

Sweet! Looks awesome. I see you made a jig, do you plan on mass producing these?

Hey All,
New JSWORKS.ORG Build Post - Firing On All Cylinders!
It’s been crazy the past few weeks! Between the Z build, working on the documentary, and just working in general (to earn a living) – I’ve barely had enough time to sneak in a date night with my fiancée, let alone manage the blog.
So I thought I’d compile a sneak peek of a few things I’m working on to give you an idea of what’s been happening up to this point.
Stepped up and bought an HD camera for the doc (was borrowing one up to this point), waiting on some parts to get finished/shipped, but plan on putting most of the car back together for mock up next weekend and capture it on film!
Check the blog for more info... But here's a little car P@rn for ya ;-)
Full 2.5" Intake/Charge pipes with Massive side mount Intercoolers - Don't you wish we could run something like this on our Mustangs! ;-)

Nice! I just joined NASA, plan to run my new project (300zx Twin Turbo) in their pro touring class. I need to do almost a whole season of HPDE (high preformance driving events) before I can get a race liscense though.
Is SCCA similar? What do you need to do to get the race license?
Weather's getting nice! We still need to meet up for a cruise sometime soon!

Dropped off the T5 for inspection at a highly recommended shop. Got the call today, "Find a new tranny." Pretty much shot. Now the search for a 3sp/4sp top loader bellhousing....
Good times.
So you're dropping the 5 speed idea? You'll miss that overdrive if you take it out on the highway at all!

I vote 20's! You need to fill out the wheel wells on that land yacht! :-) j/k
But seriously. I do think 20's would be amazing on that thing (then bag it), will still ride smooth.
Nice ride.
