We fit the fronts on today We are mounting the tires onto the wheels tomorrow and will mount them all, front and back, to check our backspacing We will put all the sheet metal back on the car, apply a skim coat, then start the priming/sanding/blocking process
-
Haha, we can't wait to get some paint on this thing!
-
Thank ya! They are Boze Forged. Under the Xclusive series, they are called "clutch" wheels.

Haha that you did!

Thanks! You would be right about that haha.. We are still trying to decide.. Thought about the scoop being painted black with rest of hood red, thought about a big single stripe, 2 stripes, etc etc.. We will come up with something when the time comes :)

So the mud work begins...
-
We are actually going with this color.. Pics really don't do it justice, crazy depth and character to it in person.
-
Not a problem at all I think it peaks at 3ish inches but I need to get him to measure it.. I'm thinking we will get atleast 5 inches more of clearance from top of motor to top of hood(scoop). Thank ya!

Car made it to the rotisserie to be blasted and epoxied

Here are some pics of the opening.. Still need to finish it but this is close to what it will look like.
-
Sure do..

Hmm he test fitted them with no issues to speak of. I'll look into this, thanks for the info

We went with these and upgraded the piston. It should hold just fine. :)

I think so too! We added heavier shocks to the hinges. Also, to make the hood fully functional, a large section under the scoop has been cut out. We added some bracing under there, but I think that it will be a net savings in weight. We are thinking 4-5 inches.. Hood scoop peaks at 3ish inches, then under the scoop the hood is cut so that is our estimation. We will be adding a power adder, so we wanted the extra clearance in-case a PD blower is our adder of choice.

Scoop getting some mud work

Thanks! You are correct we got rid of the crown in the center. Will do! Yep, it sure is. It didn't look good at all with this hood design so we deleted it :)
-
Rough Fiberglass out of the mold We will put a nice polished mesh set back about an inch into the opening. The hood will be fully functional.
-
Thank ya! Let me see what I can do

Thanks for checking it out! Feel free to PM me on here and I can share with you costs/figures.. To echo this, MTF has been absolutely top notch. Not only are the products that they manufacture/sell top of the line, but the customer service and "know how" a simple call away really is priceless.

Thanks!
