the red shelby clone? I think so but i'm not sure

I think I read on some other forums something about a shop in Ill. selling crappy muscle cars, mainly General Lee's, which it looks like they are making alot of in the background of those pics. Doesn't seem very trustworthy but thats just my opinion

Another thing is I forgot to mention is you may be able to use that six speed tranny, I know there are some companies online that sell adapters so you can put certain transmissions from other makes into our cars, something to maybe google.

Actually I bought a mustang restomod book awhile back and it shows a Mustang with a chevy engine in it, wish I had the book at school with me. Don't know if that helps much but it might show you it can be done.

Wish I had the answer, but welcome to the site!

I remember awhile back seeing somewhere on the internet a mod someone did to lock their gas cap from the trunk. Right now my car has a horribly terrible looking temporary locking cap because awhile back my gas got siphoned out. Anyone ever rig something up to use the stock cap but make it lock or remember a link to the guy who did? Thanks.

Does switching from a C4 to T5 require cutting for the shifter? Please say no

Good to know. If I end up getting a manual, its definitely something I'll want to do.

Haha no rush, I'm not even in the same state as my car right now :[

Don't worry, I'll be waiting.

Are you happy with it?

Yeah mustangsteve has the bearing setup on his site, looks pretty good but you have to weld it in or send the pedal off for him to do it. Also I said this on the other thread but you might want to look into using a bungee cord or something in place of that spring as it should be able to move around the fuse box, just an idea.

Well I was thinking instead of a spring that maybe a short bungee cord would provide you with the tension you need and being a cord would move around the obstructions. Not really sure but might be an idea.

That's awesome to hear. How's it work and it just bolted right in? How about for power brakes? And what did you do about having to remove the clutch return spring?

Basically, you might want to go to this site (Link) and go down the page to the install kit, might be something of interest to you.
Another site you may want to check out is this one (Link). Also their tech pages cover pretty much everything you can do to increase performance and reliability. Hope this all helps.

So for my summer project, I'm looking into replacing the transmission with something better. My car has a C4 in it right now so it would be easiest/most affordable to swap in an AOD.
However, I really want a 5 speed manual but the biggest problem I see with it is the extra cost, especially associated with all the original clutch parts like the pedal assembly. Now I know DB Performance Engineering out of Southern California made a Pedal Assembly/Cable Clutch Kit all in one but I haven't been able to find anything out about it including price, or find the manufacturers site or a place to buy one. Anybody know anything about this kit because if its more affordable then I don't see any problems putting a T5 in. Also just to make sure, there is no cutting the tunnel to get the shifter to fit correct, and what shifters are best to use with this conversion, especially if I'm looking for the vintage appearance.
And for if I can't do that, I was planning on going with an AOD out of a 5.0 and installing a TCI Valve Body and an A+ servo, also I would use a Master Rebuild kit with all the good stuff (Like This). Then I would tie it all into the stock shifter. This Site (Link Here) has an install kit towards the bottom of the page and I think that would cover everything. I think this would be pretty nice of a setup but still no 5 speed. Anyways let me know what you think, any opinions or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
anyone watching this?

Well it looks like most the stuff they sell is just spare parts and stuff, which would explain having a good feedback rating. It's also possible they have more than one account. If you look their feedback rating isn't a 100%, just the negative must have been over like 6 months ago.
