What type of paint do you guys use for the front rock guard trim that sits in front of the grille? Its the silver paint, painted over the crome trim. Goes up around the inside of the headlight bucket too. Mine has a couple of scratches in the paint and I want to touch it up.
Thanks.

Yep.. Had the same problem. Those are a pain.

Wow thats just crazy. I hope it didnt screw up anything internally.

What is the difference between the 69 and 70 chrome moldings at the wheel well?? They are listed as different parts in mustangs unlimited and I need to know if the 70 will work for the 69?

I saw your car on Friday man, its nice. They were wet sanding the paint. I love the cage inside and Dustin and Rich did a awsome job bringing up your tunnel for clearance I almost didnt catch it.

im running penzoil 10w 30 right now with a motocraft fl1a filter.. if you seem to be burning oil right now or if has been a while since your motor was refreshed or its just a worn motor, you may want to go to a heavier weight. 10w 40 or 15w 40.. it will help keep your oil pressure up.

Beautiful! Im going to have to go see this thing in person before its done and shipped out.. The last time I saw it it still had the motor sitting in the bay.
When you plan for it to be done enough to ship home to you?

there is a linkage that you can get at most parts stores.. They may special order it. It just extends the linkage by about 2 inches and BAM it works
-
Any word on this? Did you buy it or what?.. Its crazy how much this thing looks like mine, minus the fiberglass hood.
-
Hey,, I just commented on this same post in another site.. I would still say around 8-9000 for it.
-
thats the spot! You will need the extention for the oil pickup or just get a manual gauge and screw it into the hole like I did. You may want to clean the paint from where the oil filter screws in so that you dont get paint chips in your oil later on..
Aside from that, prime the oil pump with a drill bit and then just try to crank it. If it catches you may have to move the timing up and down a little to get it running right. Then bring it up to 2000rpm for 15 minutes or so to break the cam in.

Might as well go curved.. I would just in case you end up with a dizzy that is too tall.. I hear that the straight works better and is more rigid, but I think the curved looks better and it will clear what ever you have.

That is awsome!

Ground.. That was my first thought.. If it worked before, maybe it got knocked around somehow.

I wish I would have seen your post about a month ago,, I just sold my 2bbl and intake for $30 to some guy at a garage sale.. I didnt want it anymore.

Just reach back there and pinch the little lever on the speedo cable and pull it out.
-
I picked up some kitty hair fiberglass bondo and added a little meat to the old broken plastic bezel.. It worked well.. I just cut the bezel to fit, put in the cage wrapped with aluminum foil so the bondo didnt stick and manufactured it by hand.. Then shaved it down with the dremmel tool and wrapped it in Vynil..

In other words, get under there and pull the vaccume hose off of where it is connected to the trans.. Get a flat head screwdriver and back out the screw a little, take it for a drive and if it doesnt change back it out some more... Or screw it in.. I dont remember which one tells it to shift later.. But that should take care of it.. Then adjust your kickdown linkage..

The front park lights wont come on with the headlights... weird ford wiring.. but will if you pull it out to the first notch.. If your fuses are good, I would definately check your grounds..

Justification is overrated, get the panel! I can't logically justify spending the amount of money that I'm going to on my car but oh well, you only live once.Jon
EXACTLY.... The wife has a new car, so Im just making my old car new... I like it ....
-
Or a loose ground.. That would do the same if your fuse isnt blown.
-
I think it would be a grounded wire somewhere.. I had somehow pinched my brake wire between the bumper bolt and the body and it gave me the same symptoms.. Did you check your fuses?
-
I guess I need to get out there and check it out in person again.. I saw it about 2 weeks ago.. Still amazed at the size of the turbo.. When do you ship it out??
Dustin and Rich got my Intake and carb for me in like 3 hours from the time I called.. I've got the CPR Street Machine decal in the rear window of my coupe and its not coming off any time soon. the help from those two have made my build a lot easier, thats for sure..

Thanks. I found it too. Any hints on application, since its getting sprayed onto a polished piece of metal?
